As a committed designer and art director, Rachel's education and training includes marketing seminars, HOW Design Conference, and a post-graduate workshop at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Rachel graduated from Calvin with a B.A. in Fine Art. She is experienced in a wide range of disciplines that include package design, identity suites, campaign materials, advertising, signage, and brand development. She is also adept at working with technology: digital libraries, vector-based technical drawings, and tutorial development.
Rachel has garnered numerous design awards, from a wide range of sources. Her client background ranges from higher education and contract office furniture, to nonprofit organizations. When clients need design approaches that are fresh, imaginative and wonderfully effective, they find that Rachel is a great collaborator.
Rachel is married to Calvin's JV Cross Country coach, Rob Hyde. They live near downtown Grand Rapids.
